I think xiphias is the bee's knees, truly. He's kind, wise, honest and honourable; truly a man of integrity. I have a great deal of affection and respect for him, and I think he's definitely one of the Nifty People that I've met online. Oh, and I often read bits of his (public) LJ out to my partner Mark, who tends to be vastly amused by his sense of humour. :-)
Tell Ian that I think he gives totally monster hugs. Tell him that I'll always remember the guy who gave a frightened newbie a helping hand when I first came to ssb-b. And tell him that as far as I'm concerned, he's my friend for life.
Yeah, I've been thinking about his situation recently.
I mean, you know what I think of your husband. :) He literally changed my life. He was good to me at a point when how he treated me was pivotal for the course of the rest of my life. I know who I'd be if someone who hadn't been good to me had stood where he stood then, and she wouldn't've been a nice or healthy person.
And, he continues to be boundlessly nifty. :D
I wish I knew better how to help. I love him with all my heart.
